We, here at TriadMac, recently received some Apple watches that we have tested out, and will be renting out to customers who may want to try one before they buy. We were one of the lucky ones that received their watches on April 24th, the official day of availability. Robert, Marko, and Josh gave them a test drive over this past weekend and here are some of their thoughts and experiences:

INITIAL THOUGHTS:
Robert: The AppleWatch is a great looking mix between technology and fashion. My AppleWatch is the stainless steel with black sport band. It was easy to setup and a joy to play with. After my first 24 hours it stopped being a toy and I started to really discover its daily uses. It prevented me from becoming glued to my phone. When a message comes in I glance at it, respond then go back to what i’m doing. I use it mainly for communication and time telling.
Marko: It was smaller than I expected. Then again, I am using the iPhone 6Plus. I was more worried about battery life than anything else. I knew that I could play with notifications to keep me from being bombarded.
Josh: I was skeptical of how much I would actually need it and use it. Come to find out, I found it to be more useful than originally thought. A lot of things I check on a regular basis were right on my wrist (time, weather, espn scores/news, etc.). A specific fear was notification overload, but I have not yet felt that to be the case. Every notification I have gotten on the Apple watch has been customized and useful for me.
FAVORITE FEATURE:
Robert: My favorite feature is the timer. The other night I was grilling out and was able to use my watch to keep track of cooking time while enjoying playing outside with my pups.
Marko: Glances! The Remote app! There are so many! I wish I could pin point one feature I love but if I had to choose it would be Glances since there are so many apps available.
Josh: My favorite feature so far would be the “Glances”.

WOULD WE RECOMMEND:
Robert: I would highly recommend the watch to people who want an easy way to stay in touch and a great way to prevent yourself from becoming glue to their phone.
Marko: Yes! Yes! YES!! I didn’t think that I would have gotten so used to it by now. Since having it I tend to use my Apple Watch more than my iPhone. It is much more convenient and always on me.
Josh: Definitely. I would recommend to everyone, and I think it is especially valuable to those who use current things such as Nike fuel bands or FitBit.
